skanne din versjon for mulige oppdateringer.
Noen Windows 2000,
Windows 95 og Windows 98 versjons mangler denne. Du kan oppdater din WSH versjon
eller installere den fra: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp Hva trenger
jeg for å installere TeamContacts?
Trenger jeg
å gjøre noe for å holde min TeamContacts mappe oppdatert? ·
Nei. Bare velg autosynk verktøyet ved å
klikke i boksen under {Synk.
Avslutt Outlook, sjekk at Outlook
How do I use
it with Exchange Server ? ·
In the Outlook folder list, go to
Public Folders; ·
Create a new Folder, set it to hold
contact items; ·
Set the permissions of role 'Default'
to Author; ·
On every Outlook client, run the setup; ·
Choose "Settings"
--> "Select Team Contact Folder", browse to the Public
Folder you created and select it. ·
Choose "Settings",
button "Select Database", navigate to the share on which you
placed the "TeamContacts.mdb" file and select it. ·
You don't have to enable the systray
Autosync tool. The Public Folder will be up to date in real time. How do I use
it without Exchange Server ? ·
In the Outlook folder list you already
have a sub folder named TeamContacts. ·
Choose "Settings",
button "Select Database", navigate to the share on which you
placed the " TeamContacts.mdb" file and select it. ·
You will have to enable the systray
Autosync tool. It is under button Sync TeamContacts, check the option
"Launch auto-sync on start-up" ·
No other actions are needed. I am not
technical, but can you explain how it works? ·
When you install TeamContacts, a piece
of software is added to Outlook. ·
This add-in monitors your own
contacts and the TeamContacts folder and waits for you to do something in it. ·
When you do something in your contacts
or the TeamContacts folder it makes a note of that in a database and directly
copies the contact information to the TeamContacts folder or vice versa. ·
It does this too for all users that
have the same database in their settings. ·
So all actions that all users, with the
TeamContacts add-in Outlook, do in their own Contacts folder or the
TeamContacts folder are written to a shared database. ·
When a user pushes the synchronize
button OR when the autosync tray application runs, all records in the
shared database are translated back to contacts in the TeamContacts folder of
that user. ·
If you use Exchange server with a
Public Folder no one has to push a button or run the autosync tool but when
every user has a private TeamContacts folder then they do have to sync or use
the auto sync tool. Your
software sends an email why?, when? to who? Team Contacts sends
us an email: ·
when it is installed; ·
when a new user is starting to use the
database for the first time; ·
when an error occurs. The email contains the following information: ·
Team Contacts version; ·
Your e-mail address; ·
Your Office version and service pack; ·
Your MS access db engine version (if
any); ·
Your DAO version; ·
Your Windows version and service pack. In case of an error ·
a description of the error ·
This information is used only to
support in a pro-active way. You might even get a solution to an error before
you ask for it. We may inform you of a new version with more functionality. We
will never share or sell any information about your email address
or software versions with anyone in any way. I get an
error when I try to sync my TeamContacts or when the autosync tool starts a
synchronization and don't use an Exchange Public Folder as TeamContacts ·
When you use the same pc with different
users please select the right (sub) folder in: Settings, select
TeamContacts. It still points to the Outlook subfolder of the other user on
your pc. ·
In general, if you get an error it's
always a good idea to check and re-select you folders and database. Can I import
my existing contacts? ·
Yes. Choose "Settings" ->
"Import personal contacts" I attempted
to uninstall the demo, through the normal windows "Add / remove
programs" in the control panel of settings, it didn't work ! You might have had
Outlook running in the background processes. In Outlook ·
Go to "Tools" ->
"Options" -> "Other" -> "Advanced" ->
"Com add-ins" ·
Select "TeamContacts" and
click the button "Remove" If any buttons
remain in Outlook: ·
Right-click on the button you want to
remove and choose the last option in the pop-up menu (adjust) ·
Right-click again on the button and
choose the second option: "delete" You can also remove
the "C:\Program Files\TeamContacts" folder. Does
TeamContacts offer any different views for the Contacts? We need one to
be able to ..... ·
Try: "View" -->
"Current view" --> "Define view" -> "New"; ·
You can use the {filter} option to
define that you only want to see the category "Prospects" in that
specific view; ·
If you enable "View" -->
"Toolbars" --> "Advanced". You can switch easily between
views. Play with it a bit, views are very powerful. Other resources: http://www.microsoft.com/enable/training/outlook2000/legibility.aspx http://www.triadconsulting.com/IAAPSummer2002/outlook.pdf I don't feel

We don't
have a server at all, no peer to peer, no LAN.. now what ? You can use a webserver
and replication: http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/dnacc2k/html/intrjet4.asp or connect a pc to
the internet and set it up as a VPN enabled server where you can share the
database so you and your team can connect to it over the internet. Windows 2000
server; how to enable VPN : http://techrepublic.com.com/5100-6268-1032135.html Connect
